Beds were super comfortable.
Too bad it costs so much, would like to go yearly.
We absolutely loved our room--- it was awesome!!!! And also the 'Wild Apple' restaurant was amazing and the staff were really great!
Didn't like the party that was happening in the room below us from 2:30am-8am; or when I called downstairs to complain the lady I spoke too made it seem like I was being an irritant-- I got 3 hours sleep the last night-- which made for a not too pleasant day:-( The hotel staff at the front desk weren't that great. But the bellhop was fabuolous!!
The restaurant food and customer service were excellent.
The housekeeping needs improvement. Response to requests was very slow or non-existent.
We had a awesome wrap-around balcony with views to the lake and pool. It was a very comfortable room to entertain with family before dinner. The restaurant was excellent.
I very much enjoyed the view of the lake and mountains with a very relaxed atmosphere. After a busy day working this was a tranquil retreat to recap the business of the day.
Everything was great, the room service was just what was needed - although a soup spoon vs a teaspoon would have helped with the delicious chowder!
Lovely spacious rooms with the lake view.
Fast maintenance service. Access to balcony, overlooking lake. Extra touches of bath robes, good lotions, etc., Comfortable beds. Pleasant lobby areas. Good restaurant, with reasonable pricing. Pleasant stay.
You could have arranged for sunnier weather. :-)
Pricey but right on the lake in a beautiful location. Nice place, friendly polite staff, very quiet rooms. Stayed in a room that was supposed to be mountainside but it still had a balcony with a view of the lake.
The price. $200 a night. They also own the hotel next door, the Lakeshore Inn in Kelowna. Both hotels share the same beachfront but the Lakeshore Inn is about half the price.
Helpful staff, quality restaurant food!
During a recession, details count.Tiny bathrooms, with particle board little vanities aren't found at "Resorts".Couldn't you have placed a mirror or something decorative over the power panel?...a second painted plywood panel was on the wall near the tv stand? Also, don't sell that your pool is indoors...it's a five minute walk...not suprisingly it was empty. Furniture OK...but the fixtures, wallpaper, carpet, tile etc weren't high end or attractive in design. Parking was difficult/sparse...seemed more for events. We wouldn't choose Manteo as is again. B&c
We were given an upgrade to a lake view which was great. Very spacious, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, good facilities. Free parking and great location on the lake. Excellent value for money
In the restuarant - the food was good, especially the breakfast but the dinner menu was surprisingly limited
We have been staying at Manteo for holidays and business for many years and we have had consistent experiences each visit. Great location to the city and quiet, lovely views onto the lake and the restaurant is very good. Their restaurant staff is excellent. The townhomes are great for ski weekends or family get togethers, the one bedroom suites are really comfortable. The beds are superb. The rooms are very clean. Globe and Mail is delivered to your door each morning. We have stayed at other hotels in this area, however, we find the Manteo the best and always look forward to returning.
The only update I would appreciate seeing is a link to Aeroplan or some frequent stay program. For all the years we have stayed here there isn't any recognition for supporting the hotel.
With respect to # 3 above. I would assume all the words would apply. This hotel offers what we like....waterfront, comfort, affordable, and I know the Chef.
I was impressed with the room decor, anv VERY impressed to find "wine glasses" supplied in the room. I have stayed in hotels in Mexico, the U.S.and Chile and this was a first..congrats!
The location and facilities were very good
A mistake was made with our booking and the front desk instead of apologizing right away tried to defend it by saying this is what happens with online bookings, I found this unprofessional especially when these days most people book online. The girl at the desk that greeted us was very unfriendly as well, before we realized a mistake had been made. The mistake was we had booked for 2 adults and 2 children but were booked a room with one queen bed.
The staff is AWESOME! The rooms are so.... comfortable The food is supurb The location is beautiful A very restful setting
